Wan Chai is a vibrant and multicultural community with various well-preserved historical buildings and modern constructions. It has rich historical heritage as well as numerous contemporary constructions of unique design, making it a juxtaposition of old and new, traditional and modern. Wan Chai has more than 180,000 residents, and a transient population of over 600,000. People of different nationalities, religions, and cultural backgrounds converge in Wan Chai, which is indeed the best miniature of Hong Kong as an international metropolis.

The Wan Chai District Fire Safety Committee is dedicated to promoting fire safety in the community. They regularly organize events to enhance disaster preparedness awareness of residents. Additionally, they frequently collaborate with the Fire Services Department to conduct various educational activities, including the Wan Chai Fire Safety Carnival, the fire prevention campaigns in Autumn, and distributing fire blankets, extinguishers, and stand-alone fire detectors to residents in "three-nil" buildings. These activities not only improve the fire safety in the community but also encourage participation and interaction among residents from diverse backgrounds, fostering the community.

Therefore, I sincerely welcome all residents of Wan Chai to join and engage with our community and work together for fire safety in order to create a peaceful and contentment environment.
