Joint Fire Exercise at Tuen Mun Typhoon Shelter cum Fire Safety Education Day

" Joint Fire Exercise at Tuen Mun Typhoon Shelter cum Fire Safety Education Day " at the Tuen Mun Typhoon Shelter was successfully held on 13.1.2025.  With the objective to enhance the coordination among departments and the emergency preparedness handling incidents in typhoon shelters, the Joint Fire Exercise simulated a vessel caught on fire at berth.  Following the joint exercise, Fire Services Department, in collaboration with Tuen Mun District Office, the Tuen Mun Fire Safety Committee and representatives of the Hong Kong & Kowloon Fishery Association conducted fire prevention publicity through distribution of fire safety pamphlets and demonstrations on how to use fire extinguishers.  It is aiming to promote disaster prevention and emergency knowledge, and to enhance the fire safety awareness of the public.

Legislative Councillor, Mr. Steven HO Chun-yin, Chairman of DFSC (Tuen Mun District), Mr. LEUNG Cheuk-yin, Divisional Commander 'West' (NTN), Mr. YIP Hor-man and Station Commander Castle Peak Bay Fire Station, Mr. CHEUNG Wai-lun inquire about the daily operations of the typhoon shelter.
