The Fire Services Department, in collaboration with the Tuen Mun District Fire Safety Committee and the Tuen Mun District Leung King Care Team, visited Leung King Estate and Siu Lung Court on 5 August to promote fire safety messages and enhance public awareness of fire prevention and escape. In addition to promoting the “Three Basic Skills on Emergency Preparedness” (namely “Extinguish and Prevent Fire”, “Self-help and Help Others”, and “Escape and Evacuate”), the team distributed “Disaster and Emergency Preparedness Kit” to residents, each containing fire extinguishers, fire blanket, standalone smoke detector, and smoke hoods. Furthermore, the team specifically installed standalone smoke detectors for elderly residents in need, assisting them in detecting fires at an early stage and evacuating promptly.
