On 6.2. 2026, the Fire Services Department, together with the Police Force and the Marine Department, conducted a joint exercise at Tuen Mun Typhoon Shelter. The scenario simulated a fire breaking out on a vessel moored in the shelter, with the aim of strengthening coordination among the agencies and enhancing their response capabilities to typhoon‑shelter fire incidents. After the drill, the Fire Services Department once again formed an outreach team with the Tuen Mun Home Affairs Office, the Tuen Mun District Fire Prevention Committee, and representatives of the Hong Kong & Kowloon Fishery Association. The team entered the community to carry out fire‑prevention education, distributing fire‑safety pamphlets to boat owners and demonstrating the proper use of fire extinguishers. This effort was intended to raise fire‑prevention and emergency‑response awareness among local workers and nearby boat owners. Overall, the activity's core purpose was to disseminate disaster‑response knowledge and boost fire‑safety awareness among residents of the district.
