The Sham Shui Po District Disaster and Emergency Preparedness Carnival cum Cheung Sha Wan Fire Station and Ambulance Depot Open Day 2024, was successfully held at Cheung Sha Wan Playground on December 21, attracting over 10,000 participants and setting a new attendance record.  The event kicked off with a performance by the department's Guard of Honour, followed by firefighters demonstrating simulated fire rescue operations.  Various interactive booths were set up, including climbing simulations, children's firefighter uniform photo opportunities, firefighting dog displays, and fire vehicle exhibitions.  Stage performances featuring drum music, acrobatics, and dance shows were also arranged.  Participants not only enjoyed the festivities but also gained valuable knowledge about fire safety and disaster preparedness.  The event was organized by the District Fire Safety Committee (Sham Shui Po District), with several distinguished guests attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

This event was hosted by the District Fire Safety Committee (Sham Shui Po District) and co-organized by the Sham Shui Po District Office, the Fire Services Department, and the Fire Services Department Community Emergency Responder Honorary Presidents' Association (Sham Shui Po District).  Over 100 staff members were deployed to ensure the event's success, which aimed to raise public awareness of fire prevention and safety knowledge through this initiative.
