In order to gain deeper understanding on emergency response measures for Sham Tseng Village under extreme weather conditions and inter-departmental coordination capabilities during emergencies, the Chairman and committee members of the Tsuen Wan District Fire Safety Committee participated in a Inter-departmental Workshop on Response to Extreme Weather on May 29, 2025. The workshop was jointly organized by the Tsuen Wan District Office, Fire Services Department, Civil Engineering and Development Department, Drainage Services Department, and the Hong Kong Observatory. Tsuen Wan Police District, Tsuen Wan District Council member, Ting Sham Care Team and Residents and Village Representatives from Sham Tsuen Village have also attended.

During the event, Fire Services Department representatives demonstrated rescue equipment for handling flooding and landslide incidents. Besides, Residents from Sham Tseng Village and committee members were given the opportunity to experience emergency response procedures firsthand.
