  • Date: 2026年10月14日
  • Venue: 6/F, Optimall, 118 Chuen Lung Street, Tsuen Wan (Tsuen Wan West Community Living Room)

To enhance fire safety awareness among residents of subdivided units, the Fire Services Department, together with the Tsuen Wan District Fire Safety Committee, visited the Tsuen Wan West Community Living Room to deliver fire education activities and distribute "Disaster Preparedness Emergency Kits" to its residents.
The Tsuen Wan West Community Living Room is dedicated to providing a welcoming shared living space for subdivided-unit households and underprivileged families in the district. Leveraging the living room as a platform that brings residents together, the Fire Services Department organised a dedicated fire safety talk and provided residents with training as "Building Emergency Responders". Topics covered included common fire hazards in buildings and general causes of fires, fire safety improvement works for old buildings, as well as knowledge of fire service installations and equipment and escape techniques in smoke-filled environments.
Prevention is better than cure. Participants were also given "Disaster Preparedness Emergency Kits" to jointly enhance residents' emergency preparedness and fire safety in subdivided units.
