To enhance the public's resilience against extreme weather and improve emergency response skills, the Fire Services Department (FSD), in collaboration with the Tsuen Wan District Office, the Tsuen Wan District Fire Safety Committee, and the Care Team, conducted home visits to the elderly in Sham Tseng Village to assess their domestic fire safety conditions.

The team distributed "Disaster and emergency preparedness kit" to the elderly to raise their awareness of home fire safety.  Fire Services Department representatives also provided briefings on safety precautions for flooding, fallen trees, and landslides during extreme weather.  Furthermore, rescue equipment demonstrations and hands-on experience sessions were organized to allow residents to better understand safe evacuation procedures and response measures during floods.
