Chung Yeung Festival Hill Fire Prevention Publicity 2024
As autumn sets in and the Chung Yeung Festival approaches, fire prevention awareness in the Sai Kung district has become increasingly important. To raise residents' awareness of wildfire risks, the District Fire Safety Committee (Sai Kung District) organized the "Chung Yeung Festival Hill Fire Prevention Publicity 2024" on 28.9.2024.
The campaign took place at various locations, including Sai Kung Waterfront Park, Sai Kung Public Pier, Junk Bay Chinese Permanent Cemetery and mooring area near Chin Sin Street. Volunteers first distributed fire prevention leaflets at Sai Kung Waterfront Park in Sai Kung town center. They then moved to the entrance of the Junk Bay Chinese Permanent Cemetery to remind visitors and residents to handle fire sources carefully during tomb-sweeping and while burning joss paper. Additionally, on the same day, volunteers promoted fire safety knowledge for marine areas and typhoon shelters at Sai Kung Public Pier and mooring area near Chin Sin Street.
The goal of the campaign was to enhance the community's understanding of fire prevention, especially during the high-risk Chung Yeung Festival period. Let's all stay vigilant and work together to protect our precious natural environment!
