On September 29, the Fire Services Department, together with the North District Office, District Fire Safety Committee (North District), and the Fire Services Department Community Emergency Responder Honorary Presidents' Association (North District), visited old buildings in Luen Wo Hui, Fanling, to promote fire safety messages and enhance the public awareness on fire safety.

During the event, residents were educated on the " Three Basic Skills on Emergency Preparedness" ("Extinguish and Prevent Fire", "Self-help and Help Others", and "Escape and Evacuate"). Three treasures for fire protection (fire extinguishers, fire blankets and stand-alone fire detectors), donated by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, were distributed. Additionally, stand-alone fire detectors were installed for households in need to reduce fire risks.
