Before the Mid-Autumn Festival, representatives of the District Fire Safety Committee (Kwun Tong District), Kwun Tong District Office of Home Affairs Department, Kwun Tong District Fire Safety Ambassador Honorary Presidents’ Association, Kwun Tong District Fire Safety Ambassador, Kwun Tong District Fire & Ambulance Services Teen Connect and the fire stations in Kowloon East Division of the Fire Services Department promoted fire prevention information to the citizens of Kwun Tong District on 7 September 2024. The team distributed fire prevention leaflets and souvenirs to the public near Yue Man Square, we also strive to promote the “Three Basic Skills on Emergency Preparedness” (“Extinguish and Prevent Fire”, “Self-help and Help Others” and “Escape and Evacuate”), and teach the public on how to operate a fire extinguisher. It also called on neighbors to maintain fire prevention awareness at all times during the Mid-Autumn Festival.

In addition, the team later visited the “Three-nil building" in Kwun Tong District and distributed the “three treasures for fire protection”(fire extinguishers, fire blankets and stand-alone fire detectors) to the residents of the building to improve home fire safety. The team carefully explained the usage and precautions of the “three treasures for fire protection” to the residents.
