To cope with the risk of hill fires, the Fire Services Department has enhanced its deployment during the Chung Yeung Festival, including deploying additional manpower and resources, dispatching drones for aerial patrols, and broadcasting fire prevention information. The Islands District Fire Safety Committee, along with personnel from Tai O Fire Station, also distributed leaflets and provided fire prevention and emergency preparedness information to residents and merchants in the area on October 12th. They reminded everyone to pay extra attention to safety when visiting ancestral graves during the festival and to avoid leaving any sources of fire to prevent hill fires.
