The Fire Services Department has been actively promoting community-based public safety strategies and focusing on establishing partnerships with local communities. Together with the Islands District Fire Safety Committee, a simple yet grand Small Home Fire Extinguisher Donation Ceremony was held at the Tung Chung Fire Station!
In this event, 17 boxes of fire extinguishers were donated by Mr. Jimmy T. M. Liu, a National Committee member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of Elite Industrial Holdings Limited. The donation was received by Mr. Li Wai Cheung, Divisional Commander 'Lantau' (New Territories South). These fire extinguishers will be used in various public safety and emergency preparedness awareness activities in the Islands District in the future!
