  • Date: 2024年11月1日
  • Venue: Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car Terminal

The Fire Services Department, together with the Hong Kong Police Force, Government Flying Services, and Civil Aid Services, conducted the annual "Joint Exercise for Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car Rescue Operation 2024" on 1st November, 2024.

The exercise simulated a cable car malfunction with multiple passengers trapped in several cable cars while some were feeling unwell. The Fire Services Department, along with other rescue departments, quickly arrived at scene to initiate the rescue operation, using ropes and high-angle rescue equipment to rescue the passengers.

This exercise aims to enhance the response and coordination capabilities of various units in dealing with incidents involving Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car, further improving the overall efficiency of rescue operations. Members of the Islands District Fire Safety Committee also attended to observe the exercise, with the hope of strengthening communication and collaboration between Departments and the community.
